The JoongAng Ilbo made the first attempt in Korea to use Korean instead of Chinese
characters in the headlines, introduced horizontal text and sections, hired experts as
journalists and launched a digital news service. In March 2009, the JoongAng Ilbo
was the first newspaper in Asia to switch to the Berliner format. Such pioneering

Founded in 1969, Ilgan Sports is Korea’s first sports and entertainment newspaper

Content exchange between the Korea Daily and the JoongAng Ilbo has become more
active since 2010. News from the United States such as the Beverly Hills Mom, and
Far East Movement stories are posted on the JoongAng Ilbo in Korea.

JTBC was launched in December 2011 after ranking the highest in the government’s
2010 evaluation of new broadcast license applicants. Within three years of its launch,

swiftly airs JTBC’s entertainment shows and dramas.

JTBC3 FOX Sports is a comprehensive sports channel, launched on August 15, 2015,
as a joint venture with FOX International Channels Asia(FIC), the world’s largest TV
network company. Along with the AFC Football Package, JTBC3 FOX Sports delivers
the FOX Package mainly represented the world class events such as Bundesliga,
Tennis Grand Slam Tournaments, and FIA Formula 1 Championship. The channel, as a
host broadcaster, also broadcasts every round of K League and Handball Korea League.
The trend and lifestyle channel
JTBC4 was launched on April, 2018. Under the slogan Trendy Everyday, JTBC4
provides various lifestyle content on beauty, travel and food mainly targeting female
viewers between the ages of 20 and 34. JTBC4 offers original and intriguing content
that will offer trendy inspiration and edge to millennial women.
Channel dedicated to golf
Since its launch in 2005, JTBC Golf is a channel dedicated to golf. All major domestic
and international golf tours as well as major men’s and women’s golf championships
are broadcast live. JTBC Golf has been following every milestone in Korea’s golf
history made by Korean players in LPGA Tour. JTBC Golf launched the world’s first
digital channel LPGA TV providing 24-hour coverage of the LPGA Tour, via online and
mobile platforms.

Cross Media Studio
Studio Lululala is the digital studio of JTBC, launched in July 2017. It offers young and
fresh content targeting the millennials and GenZ generations. Regardless of various
platforms such as TV, digital, IPTV, and OTT, it is establishing itself as a cross media
studio through offering entertainment, drama and lifestyle content. It had produced
Wassup Man reaching new heights in cross-media application by accumulation over
2 million subscribers on its YouTube channel. Moreover it had produced and distributed
killer content such as Workman, Way to Dislike You, Fork You Boss.
Life Theater
MEGABOX is a Life Theater where one can experience various lifestyles. This is the
place where customers can discover richness in their daily lives and nurture a relaxed
and positive outlook. Customers visiting MEGABOX will not only encounter unforgettable
